HARDWARE ENGINEER - LIGHTING ELECTRONICS

We are seeking our next great hardware designer to join our team. The primary function of this role is to take ownership of assigned lighting electronics related projects. This individual will be joining a well-established team that is helping to move the electric vehicle market forward.

YOUR TASKS

• Review OEM customer requirements to create cutting edge hardware design.
• Conduct circuit simulations and worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) to support program design.
• Manage testing process including plan creation, data analysis, reporting and recommendations.
• Work with mechanical, optics, systems and software teams.
• Prepare program documentation including schematics, bill of materials, hardware software specification, and DFMEA.
• Lead technical discussions with the OEMs.
• Coordinate activities within the development team.
  

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years hardware development experience including advanced fundamental electrical design knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent by combination of education and years of experience.
• Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design.
• Basic SW knowledge (microcontrollers).
• Electronic Control Unit (ECU)/LED Driver Module (LDM) knowledge.
• Proficient English level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience designing Electronic Control Units (ECU)/LED Driver Modules (LDM).
• Prior experience working with Mathcad and DOORS.
• Demonstrated skills in schematic capture.
• Dynamic printed circuit board layout design.
