Mission

• The Onsite technical expert reports to the onsite operation manager.
• He has to work very closely on technical level with the onsite operation manager and business development manager to ensure ongoing projects and to win new business in SAM (South American Market)
• He has to understand the needs of the OEMs and End customers in the SAM market 
• He has to ensure that the DETECT product portfolio is presented to the OEMs.
• He has to ensure the build of the Demo Vehicle in SAM and to organize and perform the demo drives with the customer.  

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the onsite management (e.g.  operation manager and business development manager) on defining the technical strategy and roadmap for the SAM region and on winning of new business in SAM
• Technical interface between the customer and the System PM and System TPM on the ongoing projects 
• Ensure smooth communication between the project team and customer in regards to the customer end functions
• Work closely with different Valeo operations on submitted RFI/RFQs
• Drive onsite studies to understand the needs of the OEMs and End customers in the SAM market.
• Deep Understanding of the DETECT product portfolio to present it professionally to the OEMs.
• Drive the Demo Vehicle build and perform the acceptance testing of the Demo Vehicle functionalities.
• Organize and perform the demo drives with the customer in SAM.  

Skills / Requirements

• Successfully completed studies or doctorate in a technical field (electrical engineering, computer science) or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience in the area of ​​system development in the automotive industry
• Very good knowledge and practical experience with system development for automotive controls and their networking (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet) and general automotive standards (diagnosis, calibration)
• Several years of experience in customer management and networking as well as communication skills with customers in both acquisition and ongoing projects.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach, communication and teamwork skills in international teams, leadership
• Organizational skills, a high degree of flexibility and a sense of responsibility
• Confident handling of change, error management and version management systems
• Fluent Portuguese and English skills
• Willingness to travel
