Job Purpose
We are seeking a Container Parks Coordinator to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you will oversee container movements, support daily yard operations, and ensure accurate data entry and administrative processing to keep the site running efficiently. Additionally, you will liaise with drivers and yard staff, process paperwork, and collaborate closely with Container Control, Rail, and Maintenance teams to ensure effective coordination and overall site efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate import pre-booking details from shipping lines and customers using Modal, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Monitor and track pending bookings, confirming EDI receipt for export bookings, and maintain accurate container movement records.
Communicate updates, re-directions, and changes to opening hours to customers, ensuring efficient yard operations and traffic flow.
Support general administrative and clerical tasks, including phone and email enquiries.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Australian Government DAWR regulations for import fumigation and inspections.
Assist with container inventory management, maintenance, and provide cross-departmental support as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
2+ year’s experience in data entry or administration, preferably within a logistics environment.
Strong attention to detail with excellent literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing demands.
Demonstrated teamwork capabilities and a strong customer-focused approach, knowledge of Container Park layouts is highly desirable.
