About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Controls Professional to support solar construction projects with a focus on mechanical and electrical scopes. This mid-level role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in project controls and a passion for renewable energy. You will play a key role in ensuring project performance through effective cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update project budgets and forecasts using tools such as MS, Excel and Foundation (Company owned ERP system).
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts, support monthly cost reporting and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support change management processes, including tracking change orders and assessing cost and budget impacts.
  • Assist in the preparation of client-facing reports and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in project controls, preferably in solar or renewable energy construction.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical scopes of work in solar projects (e.g., racking, modules, inverters, cabling).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with utility-scale solar projects.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Exposure to construction field operations and project execution.
