This position will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering within the Men’s Ice Hockey program. Implementing coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes’ growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills; analyzes performance of team and adjusts strategies as needed; plans and conducts practices and other activities in preparation for competition; and actively recruits competitive and qualified individuals.
65 % of Time: Assist the Head Coach in organization and supervision of practices and matches for the Men’s Ice Hockey Team.
Meet with the Head Coach weekly to align on practice goals, match strategies and player issues.
Assist with the development of strong team values and culture with intention of winning conference championship and athletic success.
Establish monthly meetings with student-athletes to develop player skill sets, performance goals and personal growth.
35% of Time: Develop and coordinate program correspondence to key constituents including donors, alumni, parents, and prospective student-athletes
Develop strategies to build strong alumni relations.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching, teaching, and recruiting experience at the high school, college, or professional level. Ability to work days, nights, and weekends/holidays – with extensive travel, both in and out of season. Bachelor’s degree required. Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to recruiting and eligibility

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $2,500–$3,500 per season. This range reflects base pay only and does not include other potential compensation or benefits.
