Join the Aaction Rents Team – Where Experience Matters.
We’re looking for a Senior Equipment Technician who brings deep mechanical knowledge, proven troubleshooting skills, and a passion for mentoring others. This isn’t an entry-level position — it’s for someone who knows their way around engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems and takes pride in keeping equipment running at its best.
If you’re the type who can diagnose issues by ear, stay cool under pressure, and lead by example in the shop and out in the field — we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
- Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment and vehicles.
- Safely travel to and from job sites to assess and repair equipment in the field.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems quickly and effectively.
- Produce detailed service reports, repair logs, and communicate progress clearly.
- Mentor and assist technicians at all levels — leading by example with professionalism and skill.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete at least 20 hours of continued education and training each year.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience — hands-on expertise is essential.
- Experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel repair (2+ years).
- A clean California driver’s license and the ability to travel between shop and job sites.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to pivot when priorities change.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills — you’ll often represent our brand on-site.
- A true team player who enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge.
Physical Requirements
This role is physically active — you’ll need to lift up to 80 lbs (occasionally 100 lbs), work outdoors in varying conditions, and move safely through job sites, shops, and yards.
