We are seeking a Junior Loan Originator. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and originating mortgage loans for our multifamily lending platform. As a leader in this business, Greystone’s Lending team can provide the candidate with the full support necessary to source, analyze, underwrite, and close new loans.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new borrower relationships.
- Research potential client leads.
- Utilize various modes of communication (email and phone) to facilitate client leads.
- Manage borrower relationships and transactions.
- Structure multifamily mortgage loans.
- Negotiate with borrowers and internal resources.
- Successfully guide borrower clients from commitment through underwriting to closing of the loan.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited college or university required. Finance degree preferred.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Familiarity with real estate financial statements strongly preferred.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Determination/willingness to work long and hard to develop a client relationship.
- Creative problem solver.
- Driven, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product.
- Knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills required.
- Unquestioned personal and professional integrity.

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary for this position is $56,485 /year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
