Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor must be a motivated individual that can lead a team to drive maintenance systems and accountability on their shift. They must be able to direct their team to flow to the work as needed to ensure Safety, Quality, and maximize OEE. They must be able to perform hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of manufacturing equipment. They need to be a last resort to be involved in the troubleshooting and maintenance work. This means that they need to be aware of the issues on their shift and add resources and flow additional resources when required to assist with repair work. The Supervisor must have experience in electronics, electrical, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, fluidics, and mechanical repair and support is needed to keep the manufacturing equipment operating to meet production goals. They will routinely provide feedback to their mechanics to ensure the mechanics are performing as a team to drive out losses on the equipment. The Supervisor should provide feedback to the Manager on their mechanics, both positive and negative to ensure that the individuals are held accountable. The Maintenance Supervisor will work together with the Packaging and Compounding Supervisors on their shift to ensure all maintenance needs are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Behavior:

o Exceptional attendance is required.
· Safety:
o Be the example when it comes to Safety.
o Always be on time with Safety trainings and always comply with all requirements of the safety program, including hazard recognition, housekeeping, accident and near miss reporting, proper use of all safety equipment and procedures, adherence to all Safety Rules and your reporting of safety issues is mandatory.
o Ensure that your team is always aware of Safety requirements and hold them accountable when they are not meeting the Safety expectations.
· Quality:
o Be the example with Quality, cGMP’s, and SOPs.
o Always be up to date on your SOPs and all other Quality trainings. Coach and hold accountable your team to be the same.
· Supervision:
o Supervise lead mechanics and line mechanics to ensure staffing is appropriate to optimize OEE. This includes flowing them to the work for breakdowns and change overs.
o Complete all necessary paperwork for scheduling and KPI monitoring.
o Mentor and lead your team and when necessary, perform corrective actions.
o Monitor attendance for your team. This includes Paycom and vacation scheduling.
o Coordinate team to efficiently execute PM work.
o Identify training and capability gaps and work with Manager and other Supervisors to close them.
o Attend daily production meetings and communicate risks/issues to the teams from the meetings.
o Coordinate building maintenance and utility work.
o Work with vendors and contractors on your scheduled shift to ensure quality work and a focus on safety.
o Supervise initial start-up of new bottle or line; anticipate and correct problems; assign line mechanics to the appropriate production line.
o Change parts; set up and adjust lines for various products; monitor line as time permits or as directed.
o Be an expert troubleshooting resource for when your team is struggling to correct an issue. This includes asking open ended questions and driving into the troubleshooting methodology (ex: Why-Why)
o Assist manager with rolling out and leading systems on your teams. Centerlines, Preventative and Proactive Maintenance.
o Assist in project work and continuous improvement as needed.
Other Responsibilities
· Flow to the work to support Page Production.
· Effectively communicate issues with the facility and down time in a timely manner with other supervisors and management.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. A degree with a focus in Mechanical or another related field is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in cGMP in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel)
· Ability to elevate issues from a strategic and tactical perspective to management.
· 3 years Supervisory experience required.
· Excellent customer skills
· Extensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance activities.
· Knowledge of electrical up to 480v and some understanding of PLC’s.
· Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate others.

Work Environment:
Worker is protected from weather conditions but not from temperature changes which may be sufficiently high or low to cause bodily discomfort. Worker exposed to sufficient noise level requiring hearing protection. Worker exposed to a variety of physical conditions such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current and high heat.
Physical Demands:
Physical Activities: Walking, reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, standing, climbing, and stooping.
Physical Demands: Requires lifting small parts weighing 25 to 60 lbs. by hand and a variety of physical movement necessary to repair and install machinery.
Visual Acuity: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships. Ability to adjust eye to bring objects into sharp focus. Continuous mental and visual attention.
