Plans and implements the hospitals program of Quality Improvement (QI) activities by coordinating all aspects of Quality and infection control and performance improvement. Facilitates accreditation activities to ensure successful survey, reporting and continued survey readiness. Coordinates patient safety initiatives. Manages staff, departmental budget and hospital initiatives within assigned areas.
Education and Training
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio or current multi state RN licensure recognized by the State of Ohio required.
- BSN required/masters in related field preferred.
- BLS required.
- Certified Professional in Health care Quality (CPHQ) is preferred. Must obtain CPHQ certification within 18 months of position. Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) is preferred.
Experience
- Three (3) years recent professional nursing experience.
- Two years of recent quality improvement activities including stroke care.

- Ability to use independent judgment and access medical record documentation objectively and professionally.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with Medical Staff at all levels.
- Ability to integrate multiple job tasks and criteria in an organized and efficient manner.
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient and physician information in all aspects of review activities.
- Ability to effectively abstract, summarize, format, and utilize statistical findings for review by medical staff, committees, and administration.
