Purpose of Job
The Relocation Director leads the development and execution of strategic and operational plans for the relocation department across California, Nevada, and Arizona’s, ensuring seamless execution of relocation services. The position is responsible for leading and expanding the brokerage’s relocation services, referral networks, and strategic business partnerships on both a local and national level. This role combines operational oversight of the relocation department with proactive business development initiatives to drive agent productivity, client satisfaction, and company growth.

Relocation Management
- Oversee all aspects of the relocation department, including inbound and outbound referrals, corporate client relationships, and agent performance related to relocation transactions.
- Maintain and strengthen partnerships with national relocation networks, third-party relocation management companies, and corporate clients.
- Develop and implement best practices for relocation processes, ensuring exceptional client and agent experiences.
- Track and analyze relocation business metrics and performance reports; provide regular updates to executive leadership.
- Train and support agents in working with relocation clients and referral programs.
Business Development
- Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, relocation management firms, affinity groups, and referral networks.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and execute local and national growth initiatives aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Develop and manage marketing strategies to promote relocation and corporate services.
- Represent the brokerage at industry conferences, community events, and networking opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, recruiting, operations) to optimize business development and client engagement initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the relocation and business development teams.
- Foster a collaborative environment across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Work closely with managing brokers, office leaders, and agents to drive referral opportunities and corporate partnerships.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field (Masters preferred).
Experience:
- Five or more years’ real estate experience including relocation experience. Two plus years demonstrated managerial and supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive experience handling real estate transactions.
- Proven experience managing corporate or national accounts in the real estate industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Active real estate license (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with relocation management systems and CRM platforms.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of legal obligations of realtors under state and federal law and Department of Commerce Rules & Regulations, Department of Housing & Urban Development, National Associations of Realtors Code of Ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and expense management.
- Effective interpersonal skills, customer focus and leadership abilities.
- Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Project management skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in using business software and in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.):
- Real Estate or Broker license
- Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation may be required for this position.
Location: Open to Candidate in California, Nevada and Arizona
Wage: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
