RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly trains and coordinates the activities of sanitation technicians in assigned zones, following all sanitation program processes and Company policies.
- Follows up and reinforces food safety and product quality information provided to new employees in orientation.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the assigned line/department requirements and competently demonstrates the skills required for each department.
- Adheres to all workplace and food safety policies and procedures outlined by the company and required by federal, state, and local laws.
- Evaluate trainee progress and maintain records of trainee's progress and achievements.
- Communicates and collaborates with all levels of management within the organization.
- Communicates effectively with all employees and provides direction, instructions, and feedback based on the employee's experience level.
- Develop content, as necessary, for new product specifications.
- Follows up and provides appropriate feedback and recognition based on level of performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: The details listed below are the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to perform this role. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in food science, environmental health, public health, or a related field or equivalent or experience in a food manufacturing facility. Work experience in industrial sanitation in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Laboratory, either chemical or microbial experience preferred.
- Must have adequate experience to demonstrate thorough knowledge, skills, and abilities of both commercial and technical aspects related to FSQA for the pork business.
- Additional essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

- C shift and as required by the business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility and primarily will be on the production floor.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position is primarily on the production floor and will have limited office time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment requires you to wear hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
