Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Tax and Accounting Associate with relevant experience to join our finance team. The associate will support tax, month end close, and general accounting activities while ensuring adherence to company policies, applicable laws, and regulatory standards. This role provides exposure to both tax and accounting functions and offers opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare long range plan, quarterly and annual tax schedules in support of federal, state and tax credits (R&D).
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control policies; document controls and assist with internal audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors, HR, and other internal stakeholders to provide required documentation.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy of workflows.
• Assist with month end and quarter end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.) and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
• Prepare and analyze management reports (e.g., profit and loss summaries, budget vs. actual) and provide insights to finance leadership.
Basic Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in tax or accounting, or any related finance discipline.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers.
Desired skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Prior experience with SAP (or other ERP systems)
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills; high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to take direction while also working independently.
• Knowledge of internal controls, risk management practices, and basic SOX compliance.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
