About the Department

Position Duties
Must hold a Type B or Level 2 (or higher) Louisiana Teaching Certificate. This includes at least three years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 setting Position Description SCS will keep this document for six (6) years.
Educational Leader Level 1 (EDL1) Certificate issued upon completion of a BESE-approved educational leadership program and passing the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA).
Demonstrated leadership ability or prior administrative experience may be required/preferred. Completion of training in Compass (Louisiana's educator evaluation system) along with NIET beginning school year 2025-2026.

Job Duties:
Assist the Principal in overseeing daily school operations, instructional delivery, and staff supervision
Support curriculum implementation aligned with Louisiana Department of Education standards
Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers to develop individualized learning plans
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school climate through effective behavior management strategies
Coordinate professional development for instructional staff and support personnel
Ensure compliance with state education regulations, testing protocols, and agency policies
Serve as a liaison between education staff, facility administration, and external stakeholders
Participate in school improvement planning, data analysis, and program evaluation
