Job Description:

SCOPE: Schedules patient appointments for diagnostic CT scans, CT scans for radiation treatment planning and PET scans for both internal and external providers.  Obtains comparison studies and needed supporting documentation.  If needed, will also assist intake coordinators with inbound new referrals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Scheduling of diagnostic procedures
• Obtains comparison studies
• Obtains authorizations & pre-certifications
• Medical chart management
• Patient Education

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent  

2. At least one year of medical scheduling experience preferred.

3. Knowledge of benefits and authorization process required.

4. Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines
