Position Title:  Parking Operations Coordinator

Department: Facilities Management Department

Reports to:  Safety Supervisor 

Appointment:  Full-Time; 40 hours per week/12 months 

Status:  Exempt 

Summary 

The Parking Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation activities and the administrative duties of Parking Operations on the campus of Bradley University. 

Direct Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and forecast Parking Operations budget, including revenue and expenses. 
  • Manage and plan all aspects of parking permit processes and distribution, including permit updating and ordering and the issuance of temporary, visitor, vendor, VIP and replacement parking permits while maintaining and responding to the Parking Services email. 
  • Communicate University parking policies and procedures to students, University personnel and University visitors and submit any necessary changes on our BU website.
  • Work with Financial Services to reconcile parking records and accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accountability within the T2 Parking System.
  • Maintain and administer parking regulations and procedures to ensure effective enforcement, consistent application and overall compliance with Federal, state, and local parking requirements. 
  • Request and authorize the release of holds on student accounts/records related to parking fines/citations. 
  • Monitor and respond to all communication and inquiries received through Parking Operations. Address any parking issues promptly and take any necessary corrective actions. 
  • Serve a liaison between BU Police Department, General Services, Financial Services, Event Services, IT Business Relations Manager and campus departments/units that require parking assistance and support. Coordinate all parking related activities/communication flow between these constituents. 
  • Coordinate the recruitment, hiring and training of student ticket writers. Supervise and direct the student ticket writer's work and prepare/coordinate work schedules.
  • Prepare an annual report to elaborate on parking operations by providing transparency and insight into service initiatives, sustainability, maintenance, signage and other fiscal responsibilities. 
  • Manage the T2 System computerized parking system and peripheral devices and handle any software updates or enhancements while working with Financial Services IT Business Relationship Manager. 
  • Update the parking website information; update parking communication & messaging on the T2 System portal landing page; and update permit pricing, permit numbering, scheduling of online permit sales, and payment methods in the T2 system.
  • Availability as needed for events outside traditional operational hours. 
  • Assist with fleet vehicle management for scheduling, tracking and maintenance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

To be successful in this role, the Parking Operations Supervisor needs to demonstrate critical skills and competencies, including:

  • Ability to maintain current, accurate documentation and comply with all Federal, State and local regulations, Bradley University policies and procedures, and relevant industry standards 
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve 
  • Ethical standards and confidentiality required 
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, including but not limited to email and google docs. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Higher Education experience preferred
