How you'll make a difference:

As a Finance Officer, you will support the delivery of a range of quality and cost effective financial management and financial support within the children’s department of the council.

What you will be doing:
  • As the key point of contact for budget holders, you will be responsible for the preparation of budget monitoring information. This involves working closely with budget holders, both face to face and over the telephone and email to ensure up to date information is received.
  • It will be your responsibility to ensure prompt follow up on requests from internal and external customers.
What we need from you:
  • You must have good numeracy and literacy skills and be familiar with report writing, presentations and IT.
  • You need to have the ability to work with competing demands to meet deadlines.  
  • We require you to have the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload effectively.
  • Ideally, you will have knowledge of Dynamics 365.
What you need to know:
  • This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Badminton Road, Yate and working from home.
  • This is for a 7 month limited term contract.
