Position Responsibilities 

  • Conducts preventive maintenance and safety inspections on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs machinery and systems, diagnosing problems and performing necessary corrective actions.
  • Supports deep maintenance, refurbishment, and modification projects within the department.
  • Provides guidance and oversight to external contractors on mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Ensures all repairs and services are completed thoroughly and meet quality standards.
  • Maintains and services equipment such as motors, pumps, plumbing systems, pneumatic tubes, sanitary and specialized water systems, medical gas outlets, blowers, and fans.

 

Qualifications 

  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver License.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance. Advanced Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, steam fitting, soldering, carpentry, or fabricating.
