The HR Business Systems Analyst position is responsible for managing the university's Human Resources Information Systems, which includes the development, implementation, and maintenance of functional solutions in the Workday and Banner ERPs. The HR Business Systems Analyst has the ability to resolve escalated issues arising from both internal and external operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform duties related to the implementation, management, maintenance, enhancement and support of Workday, Banner, and third-party integrations.
  • Perform system configuration changes to meet new requirements, including updating business processes, creating condition rules, and maintaining security.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT to maintain and improve Workday functions, this includes but not limited to configuring business processes, creating condition rules, maintaining system efficiency and security, supporting payroll and finance functions.
  • Liaison and project manage between third-party consultants and department stakeholders to translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements.
  • Evaluate HR systems to identify points of improvement and effectively project manage to implement those improvements; create documentation of new procedures and training documents for end users.
  • Support Workday maintenance and operational tasks, such as release updates and testing; help to maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data; perform daily Workday tasks as assigned.
  • Pull, scrub, and submit annual, monthly, and periodic reports (e.g. IPEDS, CUPA-HR Salary Survey, VETS, Retirement Census, JOLTS, ACA and 5500 etc.).
  • Implement and manage any new benefit partner system including any integrations with Workday.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, business administration, HR or related is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience required in area of expertise
  • Experience as a business systems analyst with strong documentation and facilitation skills and demonstrated proficiency with mapping, analyzing, and re-engineering business processes in an organization of considerable size and complexity with unique customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality to facilitate business process updates
  • Experience in writing report requirements and test specifications preferred
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships, collaborating with business stakeholders, third party vendors and end users
  • Experience in Workday strongly preferred

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
