Service Center Technicians provide lift truck installation process to provide our customers the optimum experience with new trucks being purchased. Additionally, these MLC service center technicians perform in-house installations, and after factory option installations. Most of our technician’s successful transition from the automotive industry for the opportunity at a better, more stable career in a more controlled environment.
What we’re looking for in a candidate…
- Ability to execute new fork truck installations, along with any options required to meet customers’ expectations.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions to meet customers’ expectations along with delivery dates.
- Maintain installation logs, documenting all assigned work and corrective measures in the event that disruptions occur.
- Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required.
- Ability to support dock personnel when required.
- Must be 100% safety conscious at all times – safety dictates the way we run our center and business
- Stellar customer service attitude – most of your customers will be internal and you’ll be working closely with them, so your professional reputation is key.
- Team player – you will rely on your fellow MLC Service Center Technicians for support, input and mechanical advice.
- Career-oriented individuals who understand that this position isn’t just a job – it’s a path; some of our Service Center Technicians have an esteemed tenure of 20-30+ years.

Education and Experience:
- Formal education completed from a technical or trade school; relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of
- Preferred one year of professional on-the-job experience
- Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability, with knowledge of industrial electricity
- Basic and increasing knowledge of hydraulics
Must have a valid driver's license, including clean motor vehicle record, and pass a background and drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
Climbing, stopping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pound of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature. Subjected to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils, atmospheric conditions and a variety of physical activities such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.
