Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the People & Culture Co-op student will engage in a variety of assignments that are both educational and impactful, supporting the operational success of the organization. This role emphasizes hands-on learning while contributing meaningful results across key HR functions.


Responsibilities:


Recruitment Support:

·       Assist with posting job openings and screening resumes.

·       Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates.

·       Help implement strategies to attract diverse and qualified talent.

On- & Offboarding:

·       Prepare onboarding materials and assist with new hire orientations.

·       Ensure completion of necessary forms and documentation.

·       Coordinate offboarding logistics, including exit interviews and

        systems access.

HRIS & Employee Records:

·       Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system
        (e.g., BambooHR).

·       Support data entry and reporting related to employee lifecycle activities.

·       Audit personnel files to ensure compliance and completeness.

Employee Engagement & Communication:

·       Assist in organizing employee events, engagement activities,
        and wellness initiatives.

·       Support internal communication efforts, such as newsletters

        and announcements.

·       Conduct surveys and compile feedback for HR initiatives.

Compliance & Policy:

·       Ensure employee files and documentation are up to date
        and legally compliant.

·       Assist in researching HR policies and best practices.

Cross Department Collaboration:

·       Coordinate with payroll, IT, facilities, and other departments to ensure
        smooth employee experience.

Special Projects:

·       Participate in or lead short-term HR projects as assigned.

·       Contribute to process improvements and HR program development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or related degree program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR) is a plus.
  • Able to commit to working at least 30 hours / week from January to August 2026 (hybrid, two days in the office).
