Our Medical Records Specialists are essential to ensuring that patient records are accurate, complete, and supported by timely documentation so our clinicians can provide outstanding care with confidence.

This is a remote position eligible to those who reside in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Florida.
What You’ll Do
As a Medical Records Specialist, you become a crucial part of the workflow that keeps our branches running smoothly and our patients well-supported. You will:
Record Management & Documentation
- Maintain and organize electronic medical records with accuracy and timeliness
- Review and process documents and images received through Forcura
- Attach orders, lab reports, paper visits, and other documentation into the EMR
- Enter and review coordination notes to maintain complete and updated charts
Orders Management
- Monitor unsigned orders using agency software and track aging
- Prioritize and follow up on outstanding orders to support timely claims processing
- Send, collect, and track orders from physicians and other providers
- Use order tracking notes to keep branch and sales teams informed of progress
Communication & Support
- Fax and re-fax documents to providers and facilities as needed
- Collaborate with branch directors, clinical teams, and sales partners on outstanding items
- Assist with phone calls, virtual meetings, electronic communications, and message routing
- Support team activities with professionalism and a positive attitude
Additional Responsibilities
- Review and process images such as wound photos or signed documents
- Cross-train as a Document Indexer when needed
- Participate in in-service training and ongoing development
- Perform other duties as assigned to support workflow efficiency
What You Bring
- High School Diploma required; college experience preferred
- At least one year of general office experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and comfort navigating digital systems
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Reliable transportation
