Position Summary

The UKI Commercial Manager (CM) will lead the development and support implementation of the UKI commercial plan, providing project management to deliver key national commercial activities. The CM will contribute to UKI commercial performance, input into strategic commercial decisions and have accountability for key national UKI commercial activities.

The UKI CM will be responsible for country-related commercial business matters including:
· Contribution to successful achievement of sales targets in collaboration with commercial team and General Manager (GM)
· Management of related marketing activities, resources and materials, ensuring appropriate market positioning of the Amicus portfolio
· Collaboration with relevant stakeholders and support functions

Roles & Responsibilities;

1. Development and implementation of UKI commercial plan for both brands including cross functional collaboration and activity tracking to ensure business strategy is executed optimally
2. Lead key national UKI commercial project implementation, including material and resource development and agency vendor management
3. Develop, coordinate, prepare and execute Amicus owned commercial events as well as manage Amicus presence at external congresses
4. Development and localization of marketing materials and resources for Amicus brands. Collaborating closely with cross functional stakeholders (including global marketing) and local agencies
5. Oversight and continuous tracking, analysis and response to national and regional sales performance, market share, market observation and competitor performance
6. Support preparation of internal business and finance reviews
7. Leverage up-to-date field insights to inform plans and drive continuous improvement across initiatives
8. Ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area and competitor knowledge including planning of commercial team training to ensure team are best in class
9. Planning, tracking and control of commercial budgets for commercial projects and customer related activities in close cooperation with finance operation
10. Liaison and management of external purchasers and service providers, working closely with supply chain functions

Requirements:

Educational Requirements
· Degree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent)
· Must achieve and maintain ABPI qualification, including pass of ABPI examination (Advanced Professional Programme for Industry Personnel)

Professional Work Experience Requirements
· Solid experience of working within the pharmaceutical/Biotech industry
· Solid experience and proven success in marketing/sales
· Solid experience in working with rare diseases or specialty care products and demonstrates a good understanding of the science behind the product
· Excellent project management skills and substantial project management experience
· Experience in successfully delivering projects and working effectively in cross functional teams
· Experience in rolling out projects with key stakeholders (physicians and other external parties)
· Expertise in commercial data tracking and ability to understand and interpret sales/market data
· Good understanding of the health care system in UK and its various stakeholders
· Knowledge of commercial organizations, including related operating processes, policies, procedures and regulations
· Embrace the Amicus core values as a patient-centric global biotechnology company

Experience and Skills
· Ability to build and execute innovative commercial strategy
· Strong project management skills with the ability to lead, prioritise and manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
· Robust commercial acumen, ability to interpret, make decisions and respond to commercial insight and data
· Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
· Self-starter with positive can-do attitude and a hands-on mentality, results orientated
· In-depth Knowledge of UK pharmaceutical regulations (ABPI) as well as other industry rules and guidelines along with medical and clinical terminology
· Excellent planning, organization & business analysis skills
· Proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
· Engaged integral team-player, thrives in a team environment
· Ability to manage a demanding schedule, and adapt and be flexible as needed with evolving priorities in a dynamic, expanding environment
