The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder I will complete second mortgage loans from generating loan documents through funding. Will coordinate with our Accounting Department and Title companies to close each loan. Ensure each file is fully completed and verify accuracy of documents. This is a high pace position, and the employee must meet performance standards. Will need a strong aptitude to pay close attention to detail, accuracy and organization as well as demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Essential Duties
Maintain a thorough knowledge of TRID and RESPA LE/CD requirements. Will maintain strict confidentiality regarding borrowers’ personal and financial information. Will maintain knowledge of all current government regulations and changes in regulations as required for this position.
Receive telephone and email inquiries from potential applicants, answer questions, provide information regarding home loan products, quote rates, fees and payments. Schedule real estate appointments and advise applicants of required documentation.
Review and enter data into the Loan Origination System (LOS). Review file for TRID Compliance. Verify lock information, fees and closing disclosure figures to meet all guidelines. Confirm all prior-to-doc conditions are met and signed off by appropriate parties before releasing loan documents
Generate loan documents and review for accuracies. Send documents to notary for signing.
Clear conditions prior to funding. Review signed loan documents for accuracy. Upload documents to the Virtual Loan Folder.
Coordinate with outside vendors to complete closing. Employee will obtain essential documentation to disburse funds in accordance with investor and RESPA guidelines. Verify and balance funding figures to fund final loan proceeds.
Set up loan funding and prepare final figures to Accounting for the wire transfer. Post fees to General Ledger accounts at funding. Ensure funds are available day of loan disbursement.
Export loan information to our core system Episys and verify for accuracy.
Responsible for making sure all loans close in a timely manner. Prioritize work and meet funding deadlines.
Post-closing duties include confirming recording/disbursement file, curing post-closing deficiencies, reconciling final settlement statement and preparing post- closing CD.
Performs other duties as assigned.
