The Details:
In-Office Requirements: This role requires up to 10% presence at our Downtown Seattle headquarters. Standard business hours Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Remote Work Eligibility: For employees residing outside of the Seattle metropolitan area, remote work may be considered in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, FL, OR, TN, VA. Final approval is determined through a management review process.

About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Plan Design, the Manager of Benefits Administration leads and advances the administration of employee benefits programs with a focus on quality, value and equitable access to benefits information for all plan members. This role ensures smooth operations with vendors, carriers and internal teams to oversee benefit eligibility, enrollment, utilization and plan operations and administration. The Manager will be a team leader, drive operational excellence and collaborate closely with contractors, vendors, participating employers, SEIU 775 and other internal and external stakeholders.
You Will:
- Work independently under director-level guidance to oversee all aspects of benefit administration, including benefit eligibility, enrollment, engagement, compliance and stakeholder management;
- Lead, mentor and develop a cross-functional team to deliver high quality benefits administration, applying skills in project management, data analysis, evaluation, research, customer service and communications;
- Define and communicate clear goals, benchmarks and desired outcomes for benefits administration;
- Assess and anticipate the operational feasibility of benefit implementation, process improvements and administrative enhancement;
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve department standard operating procedures, policies and best practices;
- In partnership with director-level staff, analyze the effectiveness, value and return on investment of administrative processes, incorporating team and stakeholder input to make decisions and recommendations;
- From time-to-time, perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, retirement plan administration or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration;
- 3+ years of experience in leadership, operations and/or project management;
- Demonstrated track record of managing and developing teams equitably;
- Strategic agility in problem solving using analytics, experience, and judgement;
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced, autonomous and ambiguous environment;
- Proven technology skills and fast adoption of new technology;
- Excellent communication skills including presentation skills.
It Will Be Great if You Have:
- Lived experience as a caregiver;
- Experience partnering or developing programs with populations similar to the caregiving workforce.
- Experience working with Taft Hartley trusts;
- Experience with retirement plan administration;
- Experience with self-funded insurance plan administration;
- Familiarity with ERISA rules and regulations.
Salary Range:
- $105,758.76 to $141,560.88
