Assistant/Associate Professor of Cybersecurity na Park University

Park University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, appointment effective Fall 2026. All areas of Computer Science specialization may be considered, but we are especially interested in applicants with experience or specialization in Cybersecurity. Position Accountabilities

Duties and responsibilities include active engagement in teaching, research, student advising, institutional services and curricular development activities at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Responsibility for teaching and developing courses aligned with the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification may also be included.

Consideration of an Associate Professor position will be given to candidates demonstrating substantial teaching, service, and scholarship excellence as well as documented leadership success as a full-time faculty member.

Park University’s flagship campus is located in Parkville, MO, within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Position Requirements:

A master’s degree in cybersecurity or closely related field from an accreditation institution with five or more years of professional experience in the cybersecurity industry. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence with evidence of prior teaching experiences, which could include preparing lectures, delivering lectures, designing assignments, grading assignments, and advising or mentoring students. Demonstrated potential for maintaining an active research agenda.

Preferred Qualifications:

Processed at the time of employment, a PhD in Cybersecurity or closely related area from an accredited institution. (ABD can be considered with commitment to completion within one year after the effective date of employment.)

Teaching experiences as a sole instructor.

Experience in teaching using Canvas or other LMS tools.

Course development experience or evidence of the ability to develop both in-person and online courses.

Relevant research and work experiences - we are especially interested in applicants with experience or specialization in Cybersecurity.
