Bio Building Lead na Day Break Foods

Summary 

Reporting to the production supervisors the bio building lead oversees the day to day responsibilities of site biosecurity and site security.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the Supervisor by ensuring that all tasks assigned to the Bio-Center Attendants and Security Techs are completed as assigned in a timely fashion.
• Completes inventory of all chemicals and supplies. Reports needs to the Supervisor on a weekly basis, more often if needed. 
• Answer company phones in a professional manner, including taking messages for various members of the Management team and communicating with vendors and customers.
• Clean office facilities, locker rooms, bio-security facilities, breakrooms, bathrooms, showers, shuttles, receiving hallways, shuttle bays, hallways, and other areas as assigned.
• Secures entrance to property by controlling traffic to and from buildings and grounds.
• Directs visitors and truckers to various parts of buildings and grounds.
• Ensures authorization for entry before admitting any visitors, vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Document all visitors, vendors, contractors, and service providers that are authorized for entry and issue corresponding visitor ID badges.
• Notify departments of truck arrivals, ensure PO numbers are matching, and ensure the truck is sealed if needed.
• Document and properly track chemical usage.
• Notify the Supervisor of presence of unauthorized visitors.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create bio-security concerns or hazards. Report any concerns to the Supervisor.
• Oversees the decontamination and disinfection of all oncoming vehicles using the automatic truck/car wash. 
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Experience performing janitorial or housekeeping work in a commercial or industrial environment preferred. 
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalency preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• Technical Training (required and provided).
• Experience leading teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities      

•  Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Ability to identify critic issues quickly and accurately, and react accordingly.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must maintain composure, control anger, and avoid aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
• Must be able to work independently.

Physical Demands

Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.  Temperature varies in relation to the outside temperature. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions.
