Summary:

Process payroll for multiple payroll groups within A.Y. McDonald Industries.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process payroll and support reports for multiple payroll groups within A.Y. McDonald Industries, including posting to general ledger.
• Communicate time reporting errors to supervisors for correction.
• Explain method of payment to co-workers in the event of a dispute.
• Maintain co-worker payroll data changes.
• Submit, reconcile, and approve payments for payroll, taxes, and other employee deductions, including 401k, flex spending, garnishments, and credit union and union dues.
• Submit and resolve payroll support cases with UltiPro.
• Assist with payroll year-end close.
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Prioritizes a people-first approach while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
• Balances technical expertise with a service-oriented attitude
• Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Backup other accounting functions as needed, including, but not limited to, processing accounts payable invoices and check runs.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
