Community Coordinator (Direct Care) — Mission Prep Adolescent Residential Program

Location: Leesburg, VA
 
Schedule: Full-time, various shifts available (AM, PM, Overnight)
 
Reports to: Program Director and Operations Leadership
 
Compensation: $19-$23/hour (commensurate with education and related experience) + benefits for full time positions.

Mission Prep is AMFM Healthcare’s adolescent residential treatment program serving teens ages 12–17. We believe that healing happens through connection, not containment. Position Summary

The Community Coordinator (CC) is the cornerstone of daily life at Mission Prep. As a direct care team member, you’ll work hands-on with adolescents in the residential setting by modeling healthy boundaries, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and implementing the daily program schedule.

CCs bring the Mission Prep philosophy to life through presence, consistency, and compassion. This role blends mentorship, structure, and hospitality by ensuring that every client feels seen, supported, and safe throughout their treatment experience.




Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that reflects Mission Prep’s standard of care.

  • Conduct and document safety checks, ensuring adherence to all program and regulatory requirements.

  • Facilitate and participate in the daily home rhythm, which includes cleaning, organizing, meal prep, and household upkeep in collaboration with the team and clients.

  • Assist clients with daily living skills, hygiene routines, and chores, teaching independence and accountability.

  • Follow and reinforce the structured program schedule, including transitions, groups, meals, and activities.

  • Supervise and engage with clients throughout the day, promoting emotional safety and relational connection.

  • Support clients in moments of distress or dysregulation using trauma-informed, relational de-escalation techniques.

  • Communicate observations and concerns promptly to clinical and leadership staff.

  • Participate in shift handoffs, staff meetings, and ongoing training.




Qualifications

  • Experience working with adolescents in a residential, educational, or behavioral health setting (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (preferred but not required).

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-intensity situations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork.

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
