Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the credentialing physician database by planning, monitoring and improving performance. Manages the security of all documents as well as its recovery on the database. Manages the users’ identity to control the security of the database as well as their identity’s security.Job Description
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Maintains the accuracy of the credentialing/managed care database
- Prepares monthly reports to identify providers with expired documentation including but not limited to state medical license, federal DEA certificate and malpractice insurance.
- Prepares monthly letters to providers requesting current documentation on expired documents.
- Prepares weekly reports to track timeline on appointment processes for physician credentialing and provider enrollment
- Maintain accurate records of all software tables in the ECHO modules/database
- Assesses database performance by developing necessary protocols for measurement of results and identification of problem areas.
- Ensures procedures are in place for tracking status of appointment and reappointment applications for initial physician credentialing and provider enrollment processes.
- Maintain systems to ensure the online clinical privileges portal is accurate. Educate hospital patient care areas on how to access this information.
- Maintain and update forms, letters and listings as needed
- Responsible to maintain the security of all documents and identity of all users that are authorized to access, as well as control the users who can access the database.

- Knowledge of computers and proficient in excel and data base management
