Job Description - The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all Shipping and Receiving operations across both Kratos Power Components (KPC) and Kratos Procession Sheet Metal (KPSM) facilities. This role ensures on-time, accurate, and efficient flow of materials, components, and finished goods between internal departments, customers, and suppliers. The Logistics Supervisor will also manage and coordinate the company’s driver team, ensuring daily routes, schedules, and deliveries are optimized to support business needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset and a proven track record in streamlining processes to drive cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


SHIPPING & RECEIVING

• Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics activities for KPC and KPSM for 1st and 2nd shifts.

• Ensure timely and accurate receiving, inspection, documentation, and storage of materials.

• Lead daily shipping operations, ensuring all orders are packed, labeled, documented, and shipped according to customer and carrier requirements.

• Maintain compliance with carrier regulations, hazmat requirements, and Kratos’ internal shipping standards.

• Ensure clear communication and coordination between the warehouse, kitting, inventory, and production teams to maintain continuous flow of materials.

• Drive on-time delivery performance and reduce errors in both receiving and outbound shipments.


DRIVER & FLEET COORDINATION

• Supervise and coordinate the company’s drivers, including scheduling routes between KPC, KPSM, and local vendors/customers.

• Develop and maintain daily route schedules to optimize efficiency and fuel usage.

• Ensure all vehicle and driver documentation (licenses, inspections, logs) are maintained and compliant with DOT and Kratos standards.

• Serve as the point of contact for all driver-related issues, including delivery priorities, vehicle maintenance, and route adjustments.



TEAM LEADERSHIP

• Lead, train, and develop the shipping, receiving, and driver teams to maintain high performance and engagement.

• Set clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability metrics aligned with Kratos’ operational goals.

• Collaborate with the Materials, Inventory, and Supply Chain teams to align priorities, staffing, and cross-training initiatives.

• Support a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement on the warehouse floor.



PROCESS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Standardize and enforce SOPs for all logistics functions (shipping, receiving, transfer orders, driver dispatch).

• Implement Lean/5S best practices to improve space utilization, reduce waste, and enhance material flow.

• Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for logistics-related errors.

• Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, receiving accuracy, shipping accuracy, and freight cost management.


EH&S 

• Establish a Safety-First team environment with all supply chain associates, including proper use of PPE: safety shoes, safety glasses, and protective gloves.

• Demonstrate a culture of 5S awareness, team wide, to maintain organization and cleanliness.



QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or materials management (manufacturing environment preferred).

• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of shipping documentation, carrier compliance, and ERP transactions (JobBOSS² or equivalent).

• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

• Forklift certification and DOT/OSHA knowledge a plus.
