Description

Position Summary

The Facilities Support role is an essential part of ensuring that the St. Andrew’s campus remains welcoming, functional, and ready for ministry and community events. This position provides hands-on support with event set-up, custodial care, and general upkeep across campus. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and takes pride in creating excellent spaces for worship, learning, and connection.

Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend or holiday hours are required. Schedule may vary by season.

Key Responsibilities

Event Support and Campus Operations

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for on-campus events and ministry gatherings.
  • Provide hands-on support for setting up and tearing down furniture, resources, and equipment.
  • Place signage and support coordination for special events.
  • Serve as on-call custodial support during events, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Event Coordinator and Facilities Team to ensure efficient room usage and turnover.

Campus Upkeep and Maintenance

  • Refill paper products, soap, and other supplies in restrooms and kitchen areas; manage trash removal.
  • Spot-clean as needed during the day, including spills, litter, and vacuuming.
  • Report maintenance and repair issues promptly to the Facilities Lead or appropriate staff.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and well-stocked inventory of custodial and event supplies.

Qualifications

  • Must be an active member of a Christian church and supportive of the mission and values of St. Andrew’s.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive, flexible, and dependable attitude.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy furniture and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use e-mail and access online schedules.
  • Must speak and understand English; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months to one year of facilities, custodial, or event support experience preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to work with systems of measure.
