The Administrative Assistant supports the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program by ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. This position is responsible for scheduling and confirming client appointments, maintaining accurate and confidential records, and managing program paperwork in compliance with agency and state requirements. The Administrative Assistant also provides administrative support related to the company's Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) contract and other state-funded contracts, ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and effective communications with referral sources. 

Additional responsibilities include greeting clients, answering phone calls, organizing and filing documentation, entering data into electronic systems, tracking attendance for counseling sessions, and preparing reports or correspondence for program staff. The Administrative Assistant maintains office supplies, assists with communication between staff and community partners, and performs other clerical duties as assigned to support the program's mission and goals.

Work Schedule:

8:30 am - 6:30 pm Mon-Thurs

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year experience. Candidates should possess prior administrative or clerical experience, preferably in behavioral health, social services, or healthcare settings. Strong organizational and time-management skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

    The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and familiarity with electronic record-keeping systems. The ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information appropriately, and work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is critical.

    A valid driver's license, and acceptable driving record, and personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas are also required.
