The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based IT infrastructure solutions with a strong emphasis on AWS or Azure platforms.
Responsibilities
This role combines technical expertise in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and IT modernization to support mission-critical operations for defense and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in system engineering, enterprise architecture, and cloud infrastructure design, with a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of cloud engineering experience
- Proficiency in AWS or Azure cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in services such as EC2, S3, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Storage.
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and vulnerability management tools like Nessus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware) and containerization tools (such as Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficient in scripting and automation, such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Strong understanding of network and storage architecture, Active Directory, and Windows/Linux server management.
Bonus points if you have:
- Master’s degree
- Security+ CE or ability to obtain within 30 days
- AWS/Azure certifications
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
