About the Role
We are seeking a results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to drive new business and expand our market share in both OEM and aftermarket channels. This role is perfect for a self-starter with strong industry relationships, a hunter mindset, and a passion for delivering value to truck body and trailer manufacturers and service providers.
You’ll be on the front lines building customer relationships, generating new opportunities, and representing Galleher in the field. The ideal candidate thrives on autonomy, has deep knowledge of truck body or trailer components, and excels in consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business by prospecting and nurturing relationships with truck body, trailer, and flatbed manufacturers, fleet operators, and service providers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM and aftermarket sales
- Conduct regular on-site customer visits to grow visibility and relationships.
- Understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions using Galleher’s broad product offerings (lumber, metal parts, fabrications, aftermarket parts).
- Generate and manage quotes and orders with accurate pricing and follow-through, coordinating with inside sales and operations.
- Maintain detailed records in CRM, including leads, activity, and pipeline management.
- Partner with inside sales, procurement and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new product and sales opportunities
- Meet or exceed sales goals and KPIs for your territory.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience preferably in the commercial truck and trailer industry.
- Familiarity with tuck body and trailer construction, aftermarket service, or metal/wood component sales is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and close business with OEM and/or aftermarket customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable selling in person and over the phone.
- Existing relationships with regional truck/trailer manufacturers, fleets, or service providers a plus.
- Confident in quoting and margin calculation; strong business math skills.
- Proficient with CRM systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Experience collaborating with inside sales, vendors, and logistics teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
- As well as territory sales in Southern CA, candidates must be willing to travel to Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and other western states.
