Regular, full-time Unit Manager position at the Choctaw Nation Healthcare Center's Surgery Clinic | Schedule will be Mon-Fri 8am - 4:30pm 


Position is a paygrade 14 | Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position


*Target: 3–5 years of experience in a surgical clinic setting*

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Unit Manager RN provides supervision and direction to nursing staff. You will plan and administer the nursing service program to improve and maintain the quality of patient care. You will report to the Manager or Director.

 

Primary Tasks:

  1. Serve as a key communicator between the medical clinics and clinic administration.

  2. Assume the role of patient advocate ensuring we are providing the highest quality health care to our members.

  3. Perform clinical evaluation of nursing staff per hospital guidelines and implement procedures for the Department of Nursing and other related areas. 

  4. Conduct interviews and implement hiring practices for nursing and support staff in the department. 

  5. Compile departmental work schedule, arrange for staff’s requested leave, and plan for adequate personnel coverage.

  6. Participate in the coordination, review and evaluation of performance improvement programs and activities for the medical clinics.

  7. Manage department budget and monitor the appropriate use of financial resources for all assigned areas.

  8. Review practices to ensure compliance with standards of regulatory and licensing agencies. 

  9. Provide professional growth and development of staff members by identification of needs, sponsoring training programs, encouraging education efforts and evaluation of staff.

  10. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.


 

Required Education, Skills and Experience: 

  • Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Multi-State RN License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Two [2] years of supervisory experience
  • Two [2] years of nursing experience

Qualifications
