Since 1982, over 150,000 youth have been helped with Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) programs. Y.O.U. helps teens and young adults, ages 14-24 living in economically distressed communities succeed by providing educational and workforce opportunities, skills development, and access to career pathways. We offer school-based and community-based programs designed to meet the needs of Northeast Ohio employers, with a focus on those industry sectors that provide the most opportunities for career success. Job Purpose
The Seasonal Employer Partnerships Coordinator (EPC) assists the Employer Partnerships team with cultivating and maintaining partnerships with employers to develop and provide meaningful work experience opportunities for Y.O.U. participants. The EPC conducts employer registrations and worksite validations as well as assists with worksite supervisor orientations and work experience participant placements. The Employer Partnerships Team is responsible for matching thousands of young people to short-term work experiences every year. The EPC also provides feedback to Employer Partnerships management about the attitudes, abilities, and skills our employer partners are looking for in an entry level worker.
Essential Functions
- Support existing employer partnerships and community partnerships for the summer youth employment program.
- Assist in the recruitment process for employers that can provide meaningful work experiences for Y.O.U. participants, especially related to in-demand career fields.
- Conduct worksite verification visits to ensure participants will be working in a safe environment that will lead to meaningful work experience.
- Complete employer registrations and worksite validation phone calls and meetings.
- Distribute and track the worksite agreement, ensuring timely collection of supervisor signatures.
- Add and update systems records related to both participants and employers.
- Help with the worksite supervisor orientation sessions by taking attendance, monitoring the virtual chat or in-person check-in, and coordinating the response to questions.
- Provide excellent customer service to employer partners and community partners in a timely manner.
- Match work experience program participants to available work experience opportunities following Y.O.U. protocols on a routine basis, within short timeframes, to include worksite reassignments.
- Assist with distributing and collecting surveys throughout the program cycle.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, Communication, Human Resources, Management, Organizational Leadership) from an accredited college or university preferred.
- An additional 4 years of work experience as detailed below can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. High School Diploma required.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of data entry, database coordination, and word processing experience.
- Must have valid transportation to/from Y.O.U. offices, partner organizations, and other community-based locations to meet with employers.
- Must pass a background BCI/FBI check as a condition of employment.

Work Environment
- This position will be scheduled to work in the office at least 3 days a week and can work remotely 2 days per week during the initial training period. This includes a mandatory in-office day on Wednesdays.
- This position is hybrid with frequent travel to community locations, up to 50% of the time.
- The work pace for this position is usually fast paced where work is required for up to 2 hours at a time. This position requires such physical abilities as sitting for computer and phone work for long periods of time, lifting up to 25 lbs periodically and carrying office supplies, standing, and walking throughout the office buildings.
- Social interaction with team members, vendors, partners and/or participants frequently.
- The environment in which the job is performed outside a normal office space may include exposure to extreme temperature, noise, or other hazards.
- When working remotely, the workspace must be free of distractions and background noise (Pets, children, television, radio, etc.)
Assignment Length:
- January to June
- Mon-Fri | 8:30am-5pm (37.50 hrs per week)
