POSITION:                  Adjunct Professor – Criminal Justice

Responsibilities:

• Teach 3-14 contact hours each semester
• Provide required skills assistance to students
• Assist in developing course blueprints
• Assist in developing internship sites and articulation agreements with other colleges for the Justice Studies program
• Serve on campus committees and participate in campus events
• Ensure instructional success and model lifelong learning through continuous professional development
• Complete and maintain a teaching portfolio
• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend class at any of our area campuses

Job Requirements:

• Graduate degree in Criminal Justice or J.D. required
• Substantive employment experience in the field desired, particularly in criminal investigation
• Successful teaching experience and excellent classroom skills as reflected in classroom observations, student evaluations, course documentation, etc.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success
• Commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement and application of best practices
• Strong team player
• Demonstrated ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment
