School Counselor
As our School Counselor, you will work with children/youth in our alternative school placement from Middle to High School age who are high risk students. Through individual and group counseling, clinical assessments, treatment planning, behavior intervention, caregiver collaboration, and skill building curriculum, you will work closely with the client, their families, other community partners, and school staff on their IEP and behavior goals. Our counselors foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with the students and their families to help them develop skills and strategies to more appropriately deal with their problems. This role acts in a crisis intervention capacity to defuse situations, offer education on client triggers and effective strategies to family and staff, and restrain students if necessary, using CPI techniques.

Does the following apply to you?
- Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Trauma, CBT, NCC, DBT Credentials preferred but not required
