As a Site Supervisor you will make a genuine difference in the lives of the Individuals we serve. This position of direct leadership over one or more sites will advance the personal independence, dignity, and growth of the individuals we serve, and the DSP staff you support.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will take ownership in the operation of the site(s) you oversee. Aspects of this ownership include creating a “play-book” for your sites. Specific duties include:
- Shift specific duties and responsibilities.
- Access information for technology and med cabinet.
- Coach your staff through job shadowing, training and modeling desired outcomes.
- Work with your staff to address any house concerns, scheduling concerns or other barriers to their success or the success of the individuals we serve.
- Create a plan to provide for the needs of all the individuals in the house as well as supporting your growth and independence.
- Schedule staff to ensure the individuals we serve have the supports required for safety and success.
- Take the lead role in medication management for your site(s).
- Lead in setting appointments and transportation for the individuals we serve. These may include doctor’s, dental, vision and specialist appointments.
- Monitor safety supports including communication with staff concerning safety and security of the living environment.
- Interact with the individuals we serve and DSPs daily; Listening and appropriately responding to the concerns of both the individuals we serve and your DSP staff.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
You will need to be at least 18 years of age and possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent to qualify. The Site Supervisor must also have a valid driver's license in good standing. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred but, not required. Additional qualifications include:
- A passion to support others, respect for individual differences, and the ability to advocate for the best plan of action for the individuals we serve are the most important requirements of this position.
- Sound judgement and good decision-making skills are extremely important.
- A willingness to learn new skills and new ways to deliver services to the individuals we serve is crucial to personal and professional growth.
- Acceptable driving record is preferred to assist individuals in the community.
