Lifetime Products Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through "Lean" principles and recommending equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed. You will be part of an energetic group of professionals in a fast paced state of the art manufacturing environment.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Work closely with production, logistics, maintenance and engineering teams
- Design, set up, and support product assembly and packaging lines
- Analyze and optimize material flow and process efficiency
- Create and maintain routings and costing
- Develop processes and write process documents and work instructions
- Identify equipment needs
- Troubleshoot assembly and packaging equipment
- Deploy new products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D CAD experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups and work in a team environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience/certification is a plus.
