Job Summary:  

The Maintenance Supervisor, in cooperation with supervisors, leads and operators in each area, is responsible for the effective execution of Electrical work in the plant & Battle Creek facilities.


Monday - Friday 3pm - 12pm

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

 

  • Communicate with and collaborate with all departments to ensure that plans are aligned and operations remain fully functional. 

  • Motivate, lead and manage a passionate and diverse personnel group that operates based on a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement. 

  • Establish and hold people accountable to team and individual goals and objectives. 

  • Practice safe working habits, ability to follow directions, and work with minimal supervision. 

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, belt systems, motors, pumps, and other industrial machine components. 

  • Ability to perform and supervise mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lubrication systems. 

  • Must possess the skills/knowledge of an Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment to 480 Volts, 3-Phase. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, PLC I/O modules and servo motors. 

  • Working knowledge of electrical controls systems, safety circuits, and automation components such as inductive proximity sensors, photoeye sensors, and mechanical limit switches. 

  • Experience with boiler systems and ammonia refrigeration a plus. 

  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical). 

  • Working knowledge of and the ability to use hand and power tools 

  • Provide individual performance evaluations with primary focus being recognition and identification of improvement/growth opportunities.
