Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor, in cooperation with supervisors, leads and operators in each area, is responsible for the effective execution of Electrical work in the plant & Battle Creek facilities.
Monday - Friday 3pm - 12pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with and collaborate with all departments to ensure that plans are aligned and operations remain fully functional.
Motivate, lead and manage a passionate and diverse personnel group that operates based on a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Establish and hold people accountable to team and individual goals and objectives.
Practice safe working habits, ability to follow directions, and work with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, belt systems, motors, pumps, and other industrial machine components.
Ability to perform and supervise mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lubrication systems.
Must possess the skills/knowledge of an Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment to 480 Volts, 3-Phase.
Ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, PLC I/O modules and servo motors.
Working knowledge of electrical controls systems, safety circuits, and automation components such as inductive proximity sensors, photoeye sensors, and mechanical limit switches.
Experience with boiler systems and ammonia refrigeration a plus.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical).
Working knowledge of and the ability to use hand and power tools
Provide individual performance evaluations with primary focus being recognition and identification of improvement/growth opportunities.
