This is an opening in our Clinic Support Office, located in Silverton, OR.

Role Summary:
The Billing Specialist is responsible for payment and all aspects of RCM. This position is the main contact for patients regarding outstanding balances, and outstanding insurance payments as well as the contact for clinics regarding billing questions or concerns. They play a pivotal role in providing feedback to the clinics to promote a more efficient RCM process with more timely payments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the full RCM process with emphasis on timely claim submission, AR and denial management, and payment reconciliation
- Collect outstanding patient debt via appropriate forms of communication and established processes. Manage patient overpayment by providing prompt reconciliation with refund submission
- Send unpaid debts to collection agencies and track adjustments and write-offs
- Handle insurance verification and all necessary reporting. Respond to records release requests
- Serve as a point of contact for all clinics questions regarding patient and insurance financials
- Verifying patient insurance information and preparation of patient accounts to maximize clinic success and minimize patient satisfaction issues
- Complete additional tasks and projects assigned by leadership, related to the organizations goals
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to details
- Proficiency with computers, typing, and knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of all RCM processes
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Billing experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional travel to dental offices
