About the Department
Alabama State University, Facilities Management and Operations, invites applications to fill the Operations Assistant position. This position will provide operational administrative support to the Vice President of Facilities Management and Operations, and assist with the overall control of custodial date and physical plant bench stock items.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile factual information from files, records, and other sources
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and current records of Physical Plant Departmental purchases
- Monitor sales orders and ship tickets received by Physical Plant Department and match items used by the department with work orders to ensure the accurate consumption of university purchases
- Audit and report non-consumable inventory and make recommendations on which items need to be restocked
- Provide administrative support functions within the Office of Facilities Management and Operations
- Manage Asset Essential work order system
- Ensure all base line equipment, historical maintenance data warranties are entered into maintenance database
- Serve as backup for all T-3 and general fund requisitions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree in Office Administration or related field with 10 years of administrative, secretarial or office management experience or and equivalent combination of education and experience required.
