Job Overview
The incumbent will direct the activities of a team dedicated to the implementation, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the computer systems for SAP Finance & Controlling in the areas of Sales operations and Financial Services applications. CoFiCo Solution is a central financial accounting and controlling template for MBUSA. MBM Core is the financial accounting and controlling template for MB Financial Services Core processes.
In addition, multiple proprietary and commercial systems are used to manage specific aspects of the finance business, i.e., for incentive management, tax calculations, budgeting and so forth.
Ensure the correct functionality of these systems. Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and support to team members. Lead and implement innovation at MBUSA. To complete projects on time and within budget.
Requires the supervision of 1 - 10 full-time employees and 1 - 10 part-time employees
Responsibilities include adhering to the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures by interviewing, recommending hiring, training requirements, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating team/individual, appraising performance, developing team/individual plans for technical and professional skills, recommending rewards and disciplinary actions (addressing complaints, resolving problems, recommending terminations).
· Weekly team meetings to go over the common team projects, policies, announcements, peer-to-peer feedback, etc.
· Monthly 1:1 with individual team members to check on the progress, listen to the challenges, provide feedback, identify areas of opportunities, provide recognition, etc.
· Hiring new members to the team as needed
· Performance reviews twice a year
· Setting up IDPs (Individual Development Plan), recommend training and workshops as appropriate.
· PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) in case of underperforming employees
Lead and develop IT support strategies that facilitate and align with the growth objectives of the Finance & Controlling Organization and Innovation Space. Partner and support other departments like Procurement, Tax, Accounts Payable and other stakeholders by enabling the collaboration between business and IT, supporting during the demand management process and demand prioritizing based on business value delivered
MBM Core SAP Template is the financial accounting and controlling template for the MBM Core.
Support the SAP system dedicated to Financial Services operations
Job responsibilities include managing the complex technical/functional aspects of the system and provide critical support in system development and maintenance.
Facilitate SAP project development with business, SAP and ITM resources in order to meet customer’s business requirements. Third-Party Vendors, Business Partners, and IT Partners
Lead development and implementation of the functional and technical aspects of the system by maintaining an expert level awareness of the functionality and system configuration options of assigned SAP modules in support of the business processes in assigned user areas.
Manage MBM Core Financial Services specific projects and demands by closely collaborating with internal colleagues from MBM Core Financial Services accounting, controlling, tax and purchasing along with colleagues from other related departments. Coordinate and assist with the implementation of MBM Core Financial Services specific projects and interface activities.
Responsible for managing and supporting Accounts Payable functions. Responsible for ICS Internal Controls authorizations and security reviews. Responsible for supporting MBM Core Financial Services specific audit reviews and audit findings remediations.
Collaborate with Business & CoC (ITG) IT Governance Group to represent MBM Core Financial Services in the process to establish a vision for the system landscape; which leads to enhancements that support the entire Finance & Controlling area; continuous improvement finance applications; and improved business processes.
Lead and support all duty drawback functional activities by collaborating with other partner systems.
Responsible for supporting Mercedes-Benz North America corporation (MBNAC) month end and yearend financial close activities for US, Canada & Mexico.
Suggests tools and processes needed to improve business processes. Reviews the team’s deliverables for adherence to standards and to ensure quality.

Willingness to travel to other Mercedes-Benz offices and provider locations as needed.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) and relevant work experience with emphasis in:
Business Management, Computer/Information Science, Information Technology, Finance & Controlling, Management Information System (MIS), SAP-related Logistics (MM & SD), SAP-related FI/CO
Knowledge (necessary to perform proficiently in this position)
Must have 10+ years (total) of experience in the following:
- Administration Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.
- Parts and Accessories Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices.
- Processing Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Vendor Management Knowledge of Agency/Vendor management and budget management.
- Purchasing General Knowledge of acquisition techniques that minimize costs for products or services
