Speech-Language Pathology Assistant na Bear Valley Unified

Under the general direction of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) assist in providing speech and language therapy services and assessments to students with communication disorders; follows documented treatment plans developed by credentialed Speech and Language Therapists; performs related duties as assigned.

Experience Required: A minimum of six months experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities in a structured environment. Education Required: An Associate of Arts degree with a major in Speech and Language Pathology Assistance or a certificate of completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Must provide proof of current registration with the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Speech-language and Audiology at the tie of appointment and maintain current registration throughout employment in this classification. Proficiency examination, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance. Must have a current State of California Class “C” drivers license and the use of a personal automobile. Ability to be insured and maintain vehicle and property damage insurance.

Districtwide position. Hours per day and per week vary. The District is flexible with scheduling for this position and it may be part-time or full-time. Successful applicants must obtain and/or provide the following before beginning employment: -Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI -Proof of Tuberculosis clearance -Social Security Card for payroll purposes -Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Employment with Bear Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval.
