About the Role
As a Business Analyst – Logistics at Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in analyzing, reporting, and optimizing logistics operations across North America. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex logistics data into actionable insights. You will support budgeting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives that directly contribute to operational efficiency and cost control.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in supply chain, production, finance, and analytics, ensuring data accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a hybrid role based in either Troy, MI, Austin, TX or Chandler, AZ, with occasional travel within Canada and the U.S.
This role is perfect for someone who is data-driven, highly organized, and eager to streamline logistics processes through analytics and collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Create, maintain, and distribute weekly freight cost tracking reports to support logistics performance monitoring.
Develop templates and tools to analyze annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts and budgets against actual results.
Participate in production and project scheduling activities, assessing logistics budget impacts and adjusting as needed.
Monitor system transactions in D365 and Power BI to ensure cost accuracy and reporting integrity.
Perform month-end ledger reviews, analyze variances, and communicate findings to the finance team.
Correct freight purchase order and invoice discrepancies to maintain data and system accuracy.
Create and maintain data visualizations that support logistics and cost optimization initiatives.
Research and recommend cost-saving opportunities while maintaining customer service quality.
Maintain documentation for budgeting, reporting, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with the Business Analytics team on cross-functional reporting projects.
Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
2+ years of experience in data analytics within logistics or supply chain management
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Queries, complex formulas)
Familiarity with Power BI reporting tools (proficiency preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent documentation habits
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to travel within Canada and the U.S. as needed
Consistent, predictable, full-time attendance required
