We are in search of Full and Part time Housekeeping Aides to join our team. Prior experience and/or education - not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
•Ensures the physical cleanliness, appearance and maintenance of the inside and outside of the facility, including its equipment and furnishing.
•Works with the Housekeeping and/or Laundry Supervisor and or Administrator
to implement recommended changes as required.
•Ensures that all areas of the facility are clean and orderly throughout the day.
•Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
•Minimization of waste of supplies, misuse of equipment and disposal of trash and recyclables properly.
•Performs all cleaning assignments in accordance with sanitary regulations following established policies and procedures. Follows infection control regulations.
•Report any accidents/incidents following established procedures.
•May be assigned additional duties as needed.
Qualifications

•Basic understanding of cleaning.
•Continuously seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
•Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
•Perform duties in accordance with facility cleaning standards.
Education and/or Experience
•High school graduate or GED Equivalent is preferred.
•One year of previous professional housekeeping experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Abilities
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
•Physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift, push and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
•Must maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.
•Must possess ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors of government agencies/personnel and the public.
•Must be able to raise arms over head in order lift or reach the top of surfaces for cleaning.
•Must be able to stoop and bend over to pick up objects, wipe baseboards, or clean and sanitize baths and showers.
•Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
Other Requirements
•Is subject to work beyond duty hours, on weekends, holidays, etc., and in other positions, shifts and/or areas temporarily when necessary.
•Must possess ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors of government agencies/personnel and the public.
•Must maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.
•Complies with the employer’s confidentiality and privacy practices and procedures.
•Must maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
