SMRMC Full Time 1511-X-Ray Tech-Cath Lab-7030 na Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center

Job Description: Under general supervision of the Director of Cardiovascular Services, uses the radiographical and clinical process to safely operate the equipment and perform the tasks necessary to provide quality care and optimum results.  At all times, patient assignments will be determined by adjustment of staffing levels and patient census. Assignments to other patient care units are established by census and staff levels which is reviewed on a shift-to-shift basis.  As determined by the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist will be assigned up to 40 hours per week. The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organization.  Will be responsible to assist with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to unit. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.  Will be responsible to document total care given, review and maintain patient chart per policy, and assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into computer system.  Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.
