JOB TITLE: Task Manager (Master)
POSITION NUMBER: 2511-TASKMANAGER
POSITION LOCATION: Falls Church, VA, USA (On-site with possibility of hybrid/remote)
ANTICIPATED START DATE: Two weeks after candidate identification
TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to Federal agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to support the DHA in Falls Church, VA.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Task Manager will be lead overall contract execution, ensuring compliance with DHA CIO J6 objectives and serves as the principal interface with CORs and manages contract-level deliverables, reporting, and quality assurance. The role requires a high degree of coordination, leadership, and interaction with senior government clients. The ideal candidate will have direct experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA), including an understanding of military personnel and manpower programs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, and program performance across BOESS tasks.
- Manage transition-in and transition-out activities in accordance with DHA PWS.
- Facilitate cross-divisional coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Track milestones and deliverables through the Integrated Master Management Plan (IMMP).
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business, Management, or related field.
- 8–10 years’ federal program management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams.
- PMP or DAWIA Level III certification preferred.
Required:
- Currently hold or have recently held a Public Trust clearance or higher.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Experience with DoD Tasker and Correspondence Management Systems
- Familiarity with Defense Travel System (DTS) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
- Understanding of Army, Navy, and Air Force military personnel and manpower programs.
Desirable:
- Prior experience managing contracts or supporting government operations.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and client relationship management.
- Experience supporting the Department of Defense or Defense Health Agency is highly desired.
Security Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to Tier II Public Trust Security Clearance
Language Skills:
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
