Overview of the Role
- The Regional Hy-Vee Team In-Store Manager serves as a strategic leader for the Hy-Vee Retail Team, responsible for driving excellence in retail execution and team performance. This role is pivotal in onboarding, training, and managing Hy-Vee Retail Representatives, ensuring alignment with retail standards and software usage and cross functional collaboration with account team and operations.
- Location: Hybrid to Des Moines, IA in office 2-3 days a week
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills

What You’ll Do at C.A. Carlin
- Team Leadership & Development
- Direct and manage the Hy-Vee Retail Team, including hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Conduct monthly regional meetings to communicate expectations, review results, and align priorities.
- Foster a collaborative and team-oriented culture.
- Requirement to be out in the market with the team with each team member at least 5 times a year
- Requirement to be in the Hy-Vee office at least 1-2 times a week when not in the market with the team.
- Retail Execution & Standards
- Ensure consistent retail practices and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Oversee store assignments, routing, and visit frequency for Hy-Vee Retail team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date store listings and assignments with an understanding of client priorities
- Ensure mission entries aligned with clients asks.
- Software & Data Management
- Drive adoption and effective use of retail software tools.
- Verify data entry accuracy and manage reporting, including completion scorecards.
- Collaborate with In-Store Operations to ensure mission entries are complete and KPI measurement is comprehensive.
- Sales & Communication
- Identify opportunities to improve execution and drive incremental sales.
- Ensure availability of sales materials (samples, sell sheets, specs, IRCs, etc.).
- Maintain regular communication with SVP and Director of Retail, including monthly recaps highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with Hy-Vee Account team focused around client priorities and quarterly planning.
- Operational Efficiency
- Work closely with sales and operations to ensure efficient and profitable deployment of personnel.
- Manage team travel and expenses.
What You Should Bring to the Table
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Software programs relating to the department
- Utilizes a high level of customer service
- Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and adjust priorities accordingly
- Excellent organizational skills to organize workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with team and cross-functional business partners
- Dresses in a professional manner

- Able to bend, lift and move 50lbs
